The Sarmiento Heritage Foundation International (SHF International) is an overseas livelihood and charity group of the Sarmiento Heritage Foundation, Inc., Philippines. (La Fundación del Patrimonio Sarmiento Internacional (SHF Internacional) es una forma de vida en el extranjero y el grupo de caridad de la Fundación del Patrimonio Sarmiento Filipinas Incorporada.) On November 7, 2008, SHFI was formed in the Middle East (SHFI-Middle East) to encourage overseas Filipino workers (OFW) in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Yemen, Kuwait, Jordan, Israel (and Palestinian areas), Lebanon, Turkey, Cyprus, Iraq, Iran, Egypt and greater Middle East countries to help the less privileged Filipinos. SHFI-Middle East is also supporting the different OFW cooperatives formed in the Middle East and now operating in the Philippines on how to help the families of OFWs to engage in livelihood projects or businesses. The Sarmiento Heritage Foundation, Inc. (Philippines) is looking forward then to form charity groups in the continental America, Europe, Africa, Greater Asia and Australia. Sarmientos worldwide are urged to join SHFI's virtual community and groups at Facebook, Friendster, and Yahoo! Group.
